Best time to visit Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is an affordable tropical destination with warm weather all year round. The high season (December to April) in Dominica Republic is during the winter months when tourists come to escape the cold up north. The rest of the year (May to November) brings fewer crowds and reduced hotel rates. You might consider visiting Dominican Republic from May to November. During this time, you are likely to benefit from both affordable rates and beautiful weather.
The Dominican Republic has a pleasantly warm climate. Ten out of twelve months experience average highs of 85 degrees in the day and 72 degrees at night. The climate cools off in January when temperatures only reach 80 degrees in the day and 65 degrees at night. Hurricane season begins in July and ends in September; however, storms typically don't affect the country for longer than 24 hours. .
May to November
The Dominican Republic is one of the most inexpensive vacation destinations year-round; however, hotel prices are lower from May through August. Though it's high season, airfare is actually cheaper from January through April because airlines add more flights to meet demand and the competition for traveler dollars keeps prices competitive. However, hotel rates are more expensive during high season, as there is a fixed and limited supply of rooms.
